Cod Bobó Recipe

Bobó falls into the category of "comforting dishes", due to its creaminess, combination of subtle flavors and for having the power to transport us back to childhood, when our grandmother and mother prepared it. Ingredients for making Bobó de Codfish:

 600 grams of salted cod

 400 grams of cassava

 4 units of peeled tomatoes

 2 tablespoons of tomato paste

 3 cloves of garlic

 1 unit of onion

 200 milliliters of coconut milk

 2 cups of milk (480 milliliters)

 3 tablespoons of olive oil

 2 tablespoons of palm oil

 3 tablespoons of chopped green scent

 1 unit of green pepper

 Black pepper

 salt

How to make Cod Bobó:

The first step in the cod bobó recipe is to cook the cod. To do this, place it in a pan with the milk and cook over medium heat for 20 minutes. At the end, reserve the milk and wait for the cod to cool to remove the skin and bones.

Then prepare the cassava by peeling it and cutting it into pieces. Cook over medium heat in the cod milk until soft, then reserve half the milk.

Finely chop the onion and garlic and place them by sauteing in a pan with the oil. In the meantime, blend the cassava with the cooking milk, coconut milk and palm oil in a blender to make the cod bobó cream.

When the stew is golden, add the cod in chips, tomato, tomato paste and chopped pepper. Season with salt and pepper, stir and cook for 5 minutes.

Then add the cream you prepared in a blender and 2 tablespoons of the green scent. Stir and cook for 10 minutes to refine the flavor and thicken.

After that time, your cod bobó will be ready! Transfer to a serving container, decorate with the remaining green scent and accompany with white rice and farofa. Enjoy your food!
